A death certificate is a official document issued by the government. These serve as proof for legal purposes and settling estates.
Many people don’t realize that they will need multiple copies of certified death certificates. Organizations such as banks, governmental agencies, insurance providers and other organizations will require a certified copy. Depending on your situation, a good rule of thumb is to order between 5-8 copies. The cost of these are determined by the county and state at the time of ordering.
